DECENT, the fair, and decentralized content distribution platform has recently secured support from Google Ad Grants, a program that helps non-profit organizations get the exposure and visibility required to spread their ideas and projects to a greater audience by granting them free advertisement space. Decent applied and met the requirements for Google Ad Grants with the help of the TechSoup organization, an international group dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations.

Google may help Decent reach its funding, by spreading the word about the ICO, and adoption goals. Even though Decent has managed to secure several partnerships that will be distributing their original content on the platform, once it launches, Decent will still require both content consumers and content creators, which will most likely mean that, like in most cases, the early bird gets the worm. What we mean by this is that the sooner a content creator joins the Decent Network, the more likely he is to become a known member of the Decent Community.
Another element that is fundamental for adoption will be ease-of-access, on which Decent has made a partnership with the wallet provider, Freewallet. Freewallet will build a safe and easy-to-use mobile wallet for Decent.
Although the Decent Platform is 100% free to use, DCT tokens will still be essential to buy content directly from the creators and to publish content yourself (since an anti-spam fee is required). You can buy DCT at a discount during the crowdfunding period that will start on the 10th of September and will have two bonus stages.
On the first day, users will 50% bonus that is limited to the first 10,000,000 DCT. Afterward, a 10% bonus will be applicable for the whole 1st week of the Software Sale, no matter the amount of DCT bought. 70% of DCT total supply will be pre-mined, and most of it sold during the crowdfunding period, with 10% of the premise for the DECENT Foundation and 2% for the Investment Fund, 1,000,000 DCT for Bounty campaigns, and 3,000,000 DCT for marketing.
The remaining 30% of DCT total supply will be reserved for Proof of Work mining rewards, distributed over the course of 20 years. The Decent crowdfunding campaign will last for 8 weeks and the platform is set to be launched on Q1 – Q2 / 2017.
