Interview with Sigwo | Influx Developer and Issuer of NXT Assets SigwoNET and SigFarm

Tell us about Influx. What features does it have?

Influx is a PoW/PoS hybrid X11 coin created by Cory T. Elitemobb and myself are co-founders. You can mine it with your GPU rigs at https://cryptominers.xyz or https://coinze.com. Influx also has the Proof-of-Stake technology that takes 2 days for maturity and an 8% APR. We have a self-provisioning hosting service at https://influx.host, are part of the MultiGateway Service and integrated into SuperNET Lite wallet, and have our own hosted API payment platform for 3rd party payment integration (https://api.influxcoin.xyz).

We also have a WHMC payment gateway plugin that integrates directly into our payment system so INFX can be accepted for services managed with WHMCS.

Influx was recently added to Microsoft’s Azure. Was this difficult to do? How did you get accepted?

Creating the Azure template for Microsoft was rather easy after I figured out their format. I took the initiative to add Influx to this service because adopting crypto should be a point and a click away for anyone. Influx was accepted after I successfully completed the template and ensured it passed the repository`s Travis CI checks.

What was the decision behind adding Influx to SuperNET`s Multigateway?

We wanted to provide a service and partnership with NXT and SuperNET for our users to create a decentralized wallet service for keeping their coins safe. We value the security of the blockchain and have taken full advantage of it. Influx has also sponsored a portion of the MGW infrastructure to help ensure its continual operation and improvement.

How will Influx benefit your NXT Asset SigwoNET?

Influx is part of the liquidity trading performed by SigwoNET. It is also part of the income taken for completed jobs and builds for customers using our payment system. As stated at https://sigwo.com, all profits are paid to SigwoNET holders.

What are you planning to add to it in the future?

We are currently developing an auto-swap site to anonymously exchange INFX-BTC and BTC-INFX. We are projecting beta release near the end of April 2016. We also have plans to expand on the payment system with additional plugins and services.

Let`s talk about another exciting project you are working on. SIGFARM is a new asset on the NXT exchange. What is SIGFARM?

SIGFARM is another income-generating endeavor I have embarked upon. I enjoy tinkering with mining rigs and building different types of income for myself, so I figured why not allow others that don’t have the time or inclination the opportunity to reap the rewards of mining! I currently have 9 GPUs running. Each rig can hold 6 GPUs.

The NXT asset exchange is filled with crypto farming scams. What can you say to investors to give them confidence that this is a legitimate asset?

I would tell them to look at SIGWONET’s performance over the past 9 months. It doesn’t have the largest market capitalization, but I tend to think the returns I provide the asset holders are top notch. I set out to build a reputation in crypto over 2 years ago and I think I’m doing a pretty good job of keeping my image and actions above reproach.

Until now SIGFARM has been a quiet project with little advertising. Is there any reason for this?

No particular reason. I wanted to get the first batch of rigs up and running to prove to future investors that this is a sustainable revenue stream. After the first month’s dividend, advertising will ramp up and outside (fiat) investment will come.

What equipment are you using and what are your mining settings?

I am using R9 390 MSI GPUs and Corsair 1000w Platinum rated power supplies. I have the ASROCK H81 PRO BTC motherboard with a cheap Intel Celeron processor and 4GB RAM. I use 16GB USB drives to load Ubuntu and the mining drivers/software to keep costs low. I have not tweaked any settings per se, but there is a bit of special sauce in there.

What coins are you mining? Are you planning on mining just one coin or a variety?

Mainly Ethereum (ETH) right now. I’ll swap to an X11 coin if a) it has a better profitability than ETH and b) it’s not Influx. There is no sense in dumping a coin where I am a founding member. Quibit is another interesting algorithm with DigiByte being one of the main coins.

Where are you mining? Is electricity cheap? Are your machines covered by insurance?

My electricity rate is $0.07 per kilowatt. So I would say it’s decently priced. The machines are covered by my home owner’s insurance until SIGFARM expands to a dedicated facility/space. At that time, they will be covered under the appropriate business insurance.

As you are mining within your home, do you have plans to expand outside your home?

I am mining in my home right now. I have plenty of extra unfinished space in the basement that provides ventilation and sufficient cooling for the GPUs. Plus, ETH mining is pretty light on the heat output due to its algorithm. I have definite plans to expand outside my home.

What do you think the future of mining is? Do you believe mining will become increasingly profitable over time?

I think mining will stay profitable due to the uptick in technology involvement and recognition from the status quo. When I built the financial model for SIGFARM, I included lifecycle replacement/upgrades because I wanted to build SIGFARM as a self-sufficient revenue model. So after the initial capital investment is met, the financial model accounts for replacing worn out or outdated equipment for more efficient hardware.

Is it safe to assume you are attempting to make a living from crypto? Do you still have another job outside of crypto?

No, I don’t think I’ll make enough anytime soon to support my lifestyle purely on my crypto income. I would LOVE for that to happen and be able to build SIGFARM into a massive mining farm. I supplement my hobbies with profits made in crypto. Most of the time, I leave all my coins in my wallet and don’t cash them out.

Your main asset, SigwoNET, is consistently giving out nice dividends. For people who missed your last interview on SigwoNET, what is SigwoNET and how can people find more information on SigwoNET and your other projects?

SIGWONET is my cryptocareer asset that encompasses all my profits. Any spinoff assets (such as SIGFARM) automatically send 5% to SIGWONET. With respect to SIGFARM, only 10% of the assets are released and SIGWONET will receive 5% of the dividends, not a share based on the 5 million assets it holds.
